Tile flooring installed by Eugene Flooring

Quick answer

Eugene Flooring offers four flooring services across Eugene and Lane County: LVP for waterproof wood looks, carpet for warmth and quiet, tile for the wettest and hardest-working rooms, and epoxy for garage and shop concrete. All begin with a free in-home estimate.

Choose the right floor for each room

No single floor suits every room of a house. A bathroom floor faces steam and splashes, a bedroom floor is walked on barefoot, a back-door entry takes mud and a garage floor takes tires and oil. We offer four main flooring systems, and each page below explains how the floor is built, where it works best and what to expect.

LVP Flooring

Waterproof luxury vinyl plank that looks like hardwood. A favorite for kitchens, entries, laundry rooms and busy family homes.

Carpet Flooring

Soft, warm and sound-absorbing. The classic answer for bedrooms, stairs and living rooms, with fibers and pads matched to traffic.

Tile Flooring

Ceramic, porcelain and natural stone. The toughest, most water-resistant finished floor, set over a flat, stable base.

Epoxy Flooring

Seamless, chemical-resistant coatings for garages, basements and shops, applied after grinding and moisture testing.

What every project includes

  • A free in-home estimate that checks the subfloor, moisture and room layout.
  • A written scope covering removal, prep, materials, transitions, trim and cleanup.
  • Clear start dates, cure times and walk-on guidance.
  • Protection for adjacent rooms in an occupied home.
  • A final walkthrough and care instructions for your floor.

Not sure what you need?

Our guides compare the options in plain language. LVP versus tile and LVP versus laminate cover the hard-surface choices, carpet versus LVP for bedrooms helps with soft floors and epoxy versus garage floor paint explains garage coatings. For budgeting, the cost guide shows labeled national ranges.

If you already know what you want, send a few photos and rough measurements through the quote form. Prefer to talk? Call (541) 781-8025, Monday to Saturday between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Where we work

Our services cover Eugene, Springfield and the towns around Lane County. See the areas we serve page for town guides, including Springfield, Cottage Grove, Junction City and Oakridge. Because the Willamette Valley is wet for much of the year, the wet-climate guide is a good place to start whatever floor you choose.

Residential and light commercial

Most of our projects are homes, from single rooms to whole-house replacements, and rental properties between tenants. We also handle small commercial spaces such as offices, shops and studios, where durability and downtime matter. Tell us about opening hours and traffic when you call so we can schedule work around your business.

How we match a product to a room

Our recommendations follow a simple order of questions. First, what does the room face: water, grit, heavy furniture, pets, bare feet or tires? Second, what lies underneath: wood framing, plywood, concrete or an old floor? Third, how long do you plan to stay, and how often will the room be used? The answers narrow four product families down to one or two good candidates. Only then do we talk about color, texture and price.

In kitchens we most often discuss LVP or tile, because spills are daily and the floor has to look good under cabinets and appliances. In bedrooms and upstairs hallways the conversation usually runs between carpet and LVP. Entries and mudrooms tend toward porcelain tile. Garages, basements and shops lead to epoxy, with moisture testing before any commitment. Combining families across one home is normal, and we draw up transitions so that the change from one floor to the next looks planned.

What to have ready for your estimate

  • Approximate room sizes, or a sketch with rough measurements.
  • Photos of the current floor, including corners and thresholds.
  • Notes on pets, children, wheelchairs or anyone with allergies.
  • Any known leaks, damp patches or past repairs.
  • A rough budget range, which helps us suggest realistic options.

None of this is required to book a visit, but the more we know, the more useful the first conversation will be. If you are not ready to talk about products, we are glad to simply look at the floors and explain what the house needs.

Timing and scheduling

Lead times depend on whether a product is in stock or special order. Stocked LVP and carpet can often be installed within a short window after the estimate, while specialty tile, natural stone and custom carpet can take longer to arrive. We tell you early, because the wait for materials is usually the longest part of a project. Installation then follows the sequence in our step-by-step process guide.

Seasons matter a little. Wet-season weather makes outdoor staging harder but does not stop indoor work. Late summer is the best time to test slabs and coat garage floors, since concrete is at its driest. If you can be flexible, tell us, and we will suggest the best window for your type of floor.
